THE TOUR STEPS

Crossing the Gulf of Poets to discover the village of Porto Venere and the archipelago of the Palmaria Island (Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto). They are recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, 3 eye-catching islands of different sizes and uncontaminated by structures. In front of the Palmaria Island stands the village of Porto Venere, your first stop on the tour, recognizable by the colorful terraced houses and the famous church of San Pietro overlooking the sea. Here you can visit the village, the alleyways, the descent to the sea, the Churches of S. Pietro, S. Lorenzo, the ancient walls and the Doria Castle to enjoy the panorama of Porto Venere seen from another angle. The captain will be waiting on board.

The second stop of your tour will be Palmaria Island, a true naturalistic-hiking paradise. On the island there are some natural caves and a series of military fortifications, now converted into tourist facilities, here it will be possible to stop for a lunch break in a typical restaurant on the island. After lunch we will sail towards the other 2 small islands: the island of Tino, formerly home to a monastery, today a military area and Tinetto, little more than a rock on which the monks had built small religious structures, now completely abandoned. Finally, you can admire the wonderful Grotta, dedicated to the English poet Lord Byron. Returning towards La Spezia we will find some seaside villages on our left, Le Grazie, Fezzano and Cadimare.

During the tour there will be stops to swim in some of the most picturesque caves that these islands offer us.
