Gulf of Poets

THE TOUR STEPS

Climb aboard our boat and get ready to sail in the Gulf of Poets, a wide and deep inlet of the Ligurian Sea that has enchanted poets and writers since the nineteenth century.

Our cruise will take you to picturesque seaside villages that dot the gulf. We will visit Fezzano, with its pastel-colored houses overlooking the sea, Cadimare, renowned for its shipyards, and Le Grazie, a fishing village with an enchanting view of the gulf.

We will continue towards Porto Venere, an ancient seaside village perched on a promontory and dominated by the Church of San Pietro. In front of Porto Venere, we will admire the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, an archipelago of rare beauty that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will then sail towards Lerici, a medieval village located at the eastern end of the gulf. Dominated by the Castle of San Giorgio, Lerici offers suggestive views and an enchanting atmosphere. After visiting the small village and discovering its wonders, it will be possible to stop for lunch in the main square, Piazza Garibaldi, in a typical Ligurian restaurant. After lunch, you can sit on board and enjoy the wonderful landscape that unfolds before your eyes: a fascinating succession of caves, deep gorges, inlets, hidden coves, woods and picturesque seaside villages nestled between the rocks and the crystalline sea.

In the afternoon, the cruise will continue along the coast, with its breathtaking views. You will admire caves, deep gorges, hidden coves and woods overlooking the crystalline sea. In some uncontaminated coves you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip and discover the wonderful seabed of the gulf.

During the tour there will be swimming stops in some inlets where it will be possible to discover the beautiful seabed hidden under the blue sea.
